چکیده
Abstract We aim to facilitate the daily-life activities of frail or elderly people in collaboration with mobile assistive robots through means a digital twin-powered smart home. Being able quickly and efficiently produce twin human user’s environment, can help further develop personalized solutions. As our first investigation toward this goal, we describe proof-of-concept “digital twin-driven home” implementation. It consists virtual representation, robot navigation environment semantics using open-source software. The initial obtained results on building process are encouraging suggest possibility integration for spaces.

Feasibility of BCI Control in a Realistic Smart Home Environment
Smart homes have been an active area of research, however despite considerable investment, they are not yet a reality for end-users. Moreover, there are still accessibility challenges for the elderly or the disabled, two of the main potential targets for home automation. In this exploratory study we design a control mechanism for smart homes based on Brain Computer Interfaces (BCI) and apply it...
متن کاملA user behaviour-driven smart-home gateway for energy management
Current smart-home and automation systems have reduced generality and modularity, thus confining users in terms of functionality. This paper proposes a novel system architecture and describes the implementation of a user-centric smart-home gateway that is able to support home-automation, energy usage management and reduction, as well as smart-grid operations. This is enabled through a middlewar...
متن کاملDigital Photo Sharing and Emotions In A Ubiquitous Smart Home
Ubiquitous computing has come a long way since Weiser introduced the concept in 1988 where he put forward some ideas as to how the future of computing would allow us to interact more freely. Today this paradigm of computing is affecting us in more than one way from homes, to offices, to travel, to even the way we are presenting ourselves, with smart clothes embedded with technology. When it com...

متن کاملRisk driven Smart Home resource management using cloud services
In order to fully exploit the concept of the Smart Home, challenges associated with multiple device management in consumer facing applications have to be addressed. Specific to this is the management of resource usage in the home via the improved utilisation of devices, this is achieved by integration with the wider environment they operate in. The traditional model of the isolated device no lo...
